10/01/2011: Philippine Ambassador Expresses Sympathies to Victims of Arizona Shooting

10 January 2011, Washington DC - Ambassador Willy C. Gaa, the Ambassador of the Philippines to the U.S., has expressed deep sadness and concern on the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and the related death of six other victims of the attack including U.S. District Judge John Roll, the chief judge for the District of Arizona.   “This mindless violence aimed at US government officials and innocent civilians is also an attack on all peace loving peoples,” Ambassador Gaa said. He said that his sympathies are with the family of Representative Giffords and those of the other victims.  Ambassador Gaa joins the American people in prayer for the speedy recovery of Representative Giffords and the other casualties from the injuries they suffered.
