25/02/2011: Ambassador Gaa Receives Humanitarian Award from Asia America Initiative

25 February 2011, Washington DC. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Willy C. Gaa was recognized by the Asia America Initiative for “outstanding humanitarian achievements during his diplomatic service in Washington.” During events held at the Philippine Embassy yesterday, Asia America Initiative President Albert Santoli and Board Member Bing Cardenas-Branigin presented the award to Ambassador Gaa. In partnership with the Embassy, Asia America Initiative has supplied aid to countless beneficiaries in the Philippines, with a focus in Mindanao.
Asia America Initiative is a non-governmental organization that provides humanitarian medical and educational supplies to countries throughout the Asian continent, particularly in impoverished areas and those experiencing armed conflict. Its programs include the provision of emergency relief for refugees and victims of natural calamities, clean water, health and nutritional support. END
