15/03/2011: Philippine Seafood Exporters to Participate in Boston Seafood Show

15 March 2011, Washington DC - A group of seven Philippine seafood companies, organized by the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) in cooperation with the Center for International Expositions and Missions-Department of Trade and Industry (CITEM-DTI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Growth and Equity in Mindanao (GEM) project, will be participating in the International Boston Seafood Show at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from March 20 to 22, 2011 in Boston, Massachusetts. The participating companies, most of which have EU-accredited processing plants, and their respective products are as follows:

New participating companies:

  • Millennium Ocean Star – fresh/frozen seafood

  • FRI Seafood Trading – fresh/chilled tuna

  • Well-Delight Network Corporation – fresh/frozen (ultra low temperature) tuna & other seafood

  • F.A.B. Sea Resources Corporation – fresh/chilled tuna

Those who participated last year:

  • J.N. Mercado - fresh/chilled tuna

  • M.S. Seafood – fresh/chilled tuna loins, blue marlin and other seafood

  • Jarla Trading – fresh/chilled tuna

Another Philippine company participating in the seafood show independently is RGE Agridev Corporation, a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)-certified exporter of pasteurized crabmeat.

Interested buyers are invited to visit the Philippine booth at the International Pavilion located at booth number 2153.
