07 April 2011, Washington DC. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose L. Cuisia Jr. met yesterday with the Philippine Consuls General, Trade and Tourism Representatives in the U.S. to set the direction and work plan for the rest of the year. The officials, representing eight Philippine Foreign Service posts in the U.S., provided an overview of their respective plans and programs and discussed vital issues and concerns.
During the occasion, Ambassador Cuisia mapped out the areas in Philippine-American relations where progress can be achieved and strategies in promoting Philippine interests. He also conveyed the directives of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto del Rosario in moving the bilateral relationship forward. END
