28/04/2011: BCDA Board Member Alonzo Takes Oath Before Ambassador Cuisia

28 April 2011, Washington DC. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. swore into office Zorayda Amelia Alonzo as Board Member of the Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), a government instrumentality mandated to convert former US military base lands and Metro Manila camps into productive civilian economic growth centers consistent with the thrust to generate business opportunities, jobs and economic activities.

Alonzo’s appointment was announced by Malacañang last April 17.  Her term will expire on April 20, 2016.

BCDA Board Member Alonzo previously served as Chair and CEO of the Small Business Guarantee and Finance Corporation (SBGFC); Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for SME Development; and CEO and President of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund). END
