11 October 2011, Washington DC. Led by Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose L. Cuisia Jr., officers and staff of the Embassy visited the Mrs. Philippines Home for Senior Citizens (MPHSC) in Oxon Hill, Maryland last October 8. Children of the Embassy’s employees displayed their artistic talents with musical performances for the residents of the home. A sumptuous lunch was provided by Ambassador and Mrs. Vicky Cuisia, who recently celebrated their birthdays.
Ambassador Cuisia thanked the MPHSC board members who were present during the occasion for graciously opening their doors and take part in the merriment. MPHSC’s President and Chairman, Mrs. Digna Gragasin Amon, presented the Ambassador with a plaque of appreciation to commemorate the visit and Mrs. Cuisia with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
The Mrs. Philippines Home was opened in 1991 after the Zambaleno Inc. USA received a grant of $4.8 million dollars to build the 4 storey 72-unit apartment. END
