15/08/2012: Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce Opens Student Scholarship for AY 2012-2013
15 AUGUST 2012, WASHINGTON, DC. The Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce (VACC) is accepting applications for student scholarship for academic year 2012-2013. The opportunity is open to all high school seniors, as well as undergraduate and graduate university students from educational institutions accredited in the state of Virginia during the spring of 2013 with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.
All interested applicants are required to submit an application packet containing the following:
- Completed scholarship application form (see below)
- Cover letter expressing the applicant’s desire or interest in the scholarship
- Copy of a recommendation letter from faculty
- Copy of current unofficial high school or college transcript
The above-mentioned documents are to be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, to:

VACC established the Scholarship Program in pursuit of its mission to support Asian American entrepreneurship in Virginia. Three (3) awards of $500 each will be given this year to qualified students attending accredited Virginia colleges and universities.
The successful recipients of the scholarship will be awarded based on their academic achievement and community involvement. They will be recognized during the Asian Chamber Gala on December 10 at Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA.
