MEETING WITH FILCOM IN NORTH CAROLINA. Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia, Jr. met with members of the Filipino American community in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 3, 2012 during his recent visit to attend the Democratic National Convention.  The gathering enabled Ambassador Cuisia to apprise Filipino-Americans of developments in the Philippines and the status of bilateral ties with the United States as well as listen to their concerns.  He also urged qualified Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to register as overseas absentee voters and take part in the 2013 national elections in the Philippines. Cuisia, Jr. met with members of the Filipino American community in Tampa, Florida on August 26, 2012 during his recent visit to attend the Republican National Convention.  The gathering enabled Ambassador Cuisia to apprise Filipino Americans of developments in the Philippines and the status of bilateral ties with the United States as well as listen to their concerns.  He also urged qualified Filipinos and Filipino-Americans to register as overseas absentee voters and take part in the 2013 national elections in the Philippines.
