05/03/2013: 12 PH Companies Participating in Boston Seafood Show

WASHINGTON, DC—Twelve Philippine seafood companies will be making their presence felt in this year's International Boston Seafood Show in Massachusetts—the largest seafood exposition in North America, the Philippine Embassy announced today.
The Embassy said the participation of the Filipino companies in the seafood show to be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from March 10 to 12, 2013 was organized by the Department of Agriculture, through its Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service.
Philippine Agriculture Attaché Josyline C. Javelosa said the Filipino seafood companies, most of which have European Union-accredited processing plants, include last year’s participants: Frescomar Seahelm Corporation (frozen yellow fin tuna); FRI Seafood Trading, (fresh yellow fin tuna); Well-Delight Network Corporation (fresh and frozen tuna); J.N. Mercado Seafood Supply (fresh and chilled tuna); Bluefin Seafood Exports, Inc. (frozen octopus, frozen cuttlefish, frozen squid and frozen seafood).
Participating again after quite some time are: Philfresh Corporation (super-frozen tuna, shelf-stable and ready-to-eat cooked tuna products); RDEX Food International Philippines. Inc. (treated yellow fin tuna cuts and deboned, plain and marinated and milkfish); Lola Luz Best Goodies (pasteurized, sauteed shrimp and fish paste); Jess Aquamarine Traders, Inc. (frozen tuna, sardines, octopus and bangus); M.S. Seafood Supplier (fresh and chilled yellow fin tuna); Jarla Trading (fresh and chilled tuna loins); and Magsillum ARC Multipurpose Cooperative (bottled milkfish).
According to Javelosa, the 12 Filipino companies will be among approximately 1,000 exhibiting companies from 40 countries that will be exhibiting nearly every type of seafood product. Last year’s exposition drew over over 19,000 buyers, suppliers, media and other seafood-industry professionals.
