Consul Arlene Magno receives a framed certificate of appreciation from Ms. Vicky Umayam, President of the Philippine-American Cultural Society of Augusta and project chairperson for the Embassy’s Consular Outreach Mission in Augusta, Georgia, during a dinner party held at her residence for the Consular team and the volunteers who assisted.  Standing between Consul Magno and Ms. Umayam are Mr. Guiller Valencia and General Chris R. Francisco (Ret.) of the Global Filipino for Progress, which organized the outreach.

Applicants wait for their turn during the Consular Outreach Mission held at the Augusta Korean Methodist Church in Augusta, Georgia, on 06 July 2013.  This is the 8th outreach mission to be conducted by the Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. where more than 250 Filipinos where serviced.  Relevant materials from the Wage and Hour Division and Occupational Safety and Health Administration of the US Department of Labor (US DOL) were also distributed to the applicants as part of its collaborative activities under its partnership agreement with the US DOL.
