The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines is pleased to announce details of the activities for the Filipino American Community with His Eminence, Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle on May 18, 2014.
Please note the following details:
· 10 am Mass
o Venue will be The Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle at 1725 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC
o This Mass will be in English
o Please vacate the Cathedral immediately after Mass to give way to the 1130 Mass
o If you would like to volunteer for this Mass as a Deacon, please contact Mrs. Margi Paglinawan at email@example.com
· Rosary Procession to the Philippine Embassy
o After the Mass, we invite the Community to join the short Rosary procession to the Embassy
o Young children are invited to participate as angels (must be dressed in white). All angels must pre-register. Please contact Mrs. Margi Paglinawan at firstname.lastname@example.org
· Flores De Mayo
o We invite young children to participate in the Flores De Mayo. Please bring flowers to be offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary
o We invite the Community to bring statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary (must more than 12 inches in height) to participate in the Flores De Mayo. The statues must be registered beforehand. To participate, please contact Mrs. Margi Panglinawan at email@example.com
· Salu-Salo lunch - We invite participating families to bring a potluck dish for 15. Please contact Mrs. Gigi Gopiao for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org
· Youth luncheon - We invite the youth, ages 15-30 to participate in this luncheon-forum with Cardinal Tagle. Participants may pose questions for Cardinal Tagle. Only 80 participants are allowed. Please RSVP for this event to Thryza.Navarrete@philippinesusa.org.
· Pictures with Cardinal Tagle - we invite the community to an orderly meet & greet with the Cardinal by family. Please prepare your cameras to be handed to volunteers to take your pictures.
