The consular team composed of Consul General Domingo Nolasco, Sofronio Cortel, Janeth Falsis, Emma Colobong, Lyra Ocampo and Abraham Agustin processed 115 Machine-Readable Passports and 48 Petitions for Dual Citizenship, among other services rendered. Prior to the oath-taking, the Consul General also briefed the participants and their families on the benefits of dual citizenship and Philippine laws on citizenship and income taxation.
The outreach continues to aid applicants from travelling long distances to make a personal appearance before passport officers or to take the oath of allegiance before a duly commissioned consular officer as required under the Dual Citizenship Law.
The next outreach program of the Embassy will be at Mobile, Alabama on January 30, 2010. END.
