Representing Asia Pacific. Brina Kei Maxino was invited to the White House for a state dinner to celebrate the Special Olympics which will take place in 2015. Maxino had the privilege of introducing special guest Katy Perry during the dinner at the White House. While in Washington, DC, Maxino also paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Jose L. Young and dreaming big. Seventeen year-old Brina Kei Maxino, who was born with Down Syndrome, graduated high school last year at the top of her class. She is currently being homeschooled as gears up for the 2015 Special Olympics global Youth Activation Summit in Los Angeles, for which she was chosen as co-chair and representative of Asia Pacific.
