Speakers and organizers of the fourth “Merienda” youth forum gather at the stage of the Colony Ballroom, Adele Stamp Student Union Building at the University of Maryland, College Park. The event, an initiative of Ambassador Jose Cuisia, was staged last March 22 by the Philippine Embassy and District VI of the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND), as a means to address concerns of the Filipino American youth and promote a better appreciation of their Filipino heritage, among other things. This year’s discussions focused on how young people can find their calling or vocation in life and challenges they can expect in their careers that should be appreciated as opportunities.
