17/08/2010: Philippine Embassy Conducts Consular Outreach in Orlando, Florida

17 AUGUST 2010, WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Embassy of the Philippines in Washington, D.C., in partnership with the Council of Filipino-American Organizations (CFAO) of Central Florida, conducted a consular outreach at the Sonesta Downtown Orlando Hotel in Florida, last August 14 and 15.

Led by Consul General Domingo Nolasco, the consular team composed of Janeth Falsis, Lyrie Fulgencio, Lyra Ocampo, Joey Macatula and Abraham Agustin, processed 271 applications for electronic passports.

An oath taking ceremony also took place for fifty-six (56) former Filipinos who reacquired or retained their Philippine citizenship under the Dual Citizenship Law (RA 9225).  Also among the consular services rendered during the outreach were notarization of documents and registrations for birth and marriage.

The next consular outreach of the Philippine Embassy is scheduled on Saturday, 11 September 2010, at the Travel Outlet in Virginia Beach, VA. END.
