08/04/2009: Embassy, Filipino World War II Veterans and Filipino Community Leaders Conduct Wreath Laying Ceremony to Commemorate “Araw ng Kagitingan”

08 April 2009. As part of the Embassy’s activities to commemorate the “Araw ng Kagitingan,” Philippine Ambassador to the United States Willy C. Gaa was joined by Embassy personnel, Filipino WWII veterans and leaders and representatives from the Filipino community at a wreath laying ceremony conducted at the Bataan-Corregidor markers at the World War II Monument in Washington D.C. The Ambassador was also joined by M/Gen Antonio Taguba (Ret.) who attended the ceremony in his capacity as the representative of the U.S. Veterans Administration Secretary, Gen. Eric Shinseki (Ret.)
