Ambassador Gaa Meets with US Congresswoman Roybal-Allard of California

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Philippine Ambassador to the United States Willy C. Gaa met with U.S. Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) on 02 April 2009 at Capitol Hill, Washington D.C. to discuss issues of common interest and to thank the Congresswoman for her steadfast support for the Filipino American community in her Congressional District.

In December 2008, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard was part of a US Congressional Delegation to the Philippines composed of the members of the House Subcommittee on Homeland Security that met with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Congresswoman Roybal-Allard has been a staunch supporter of the Filipino Veterans.  In February 2009, she stood alongside more than 70 Filipino World War II veterans and their families at the Filipino World War II Veterans Memorial at Lake Street Park in Historic Filipinotown, Los Angeles to thank them for their military services.
