Philippine Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Honors Ambassador Willy Gaa for His Work in the Passage of Filipino Veterans Benefits

23 March 2009 - On 19 March 2009, Philippine Ambassador to the United states Willy C. Gaa was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation by the Philippine Secretary of National Defense, the Honorable Gilbert Teodoro, at the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC. The Plaque was officially given to Ambassador Gaa by the Honorable Ernesto Carolina, Undersecretary of National Defense for Civilian, Veterans  and Reservist Affairs, in recognition for the Ambassador’s work in helping secure passage of legislation recognizing the services and providing lump sum benefits for Filipino World War II veterans.
