22/10/2008: Embassy Conducts Consular Outreach Missions to Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA
On 18 October 2008, the Embassy conducted a Consular Outreach Program at Virginia Beach, VA and then proceeded to the General Douglas McArthur Museum in Norfolk, VA to administer the Oath of Allegiance to 18 naturalized Americans who reacquired their Philippine citizenship.
The Consular Outreach Program was headed by Consul General Domingo Nolasco whose team processed applications for machine readable passports, notarization of documents, registration of births and marriages, and petitions for dual citizenships for Filipinos in Virginia Beach and nearby areas. The outreach program at Virginia Beach and the oath-taking ceremony at Norfolk was made possible with the cooperation of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce and the General Douglas McArthur Foundation, respectively.
